Sick

It is bitterly ironic that the people who are most in the unfortunate position of being possible vectors for the spread of infectious illness like the flu and colds are ALSO the people whose financial and work situation essentially requires them to work when they are sick and therefor spread their illnesses. Food service and other public facing jobs have a hidden cost to their low wages. I suspect that if the business don't police themselves, public policy may step in and do it for them. Either way, it's a case of short-sightedness trumping ethics. Don't encourage (tacitly, through lost wages or lost jobs) sick people to work.
