Think HR/Staff Ratios are a Differentiator? Think Again.

Turns out, being lean is just normal. Remember, there are two big pieces to HR: The old personnel department activities tracking data, managing benefits, etc. And the Human Capital aspect. In the former area, HR can save a little money for the company. In the latter area, HR can help a company be disruptive and dominate. Get the basics right, of course, but to contribute in an order of magnitude kind of way, you can guess where to really focus.
